This masterclass will give you a better understanding of what structure might be responsible for the presenting pain when your patients presents with arm or leg pain that is might be referring from the cervical or lumbar spine. In particular we will look at disc herniations as well as referred patterns of pain and how we can to decide through specific testing what level the disc has herniated.

You will also learn how to differentiate between pain in the posterior part of the thigh that is potentially either from the sciatic nerve, piriformis or simply from a muscular strain of the hamstring.

During the course we will focus on the upper and lower peripheral Nervous system, e.g. the brachial, lumbar and sciatic plexus.

You will also learn will how to assess the nervous system using a patella (reflex) hammer, as well as specific muscle testing (myotomes) and various sensory tests (dermatomes) using specialist equipment.

The course is very intense and run over a single day. On completion, you will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to identify, assess and treat specific dysfunction within the Neurological system, leading to greater treatment success, happier customers and a more profitable business.
